An older (September 2008) article I found, with a report from Wits E News on my winning the 2007 Labor History prize for best PhD. This was for my thesis on “Anarchism and Syndicalism in South Africa, 1904-1921: Rethinking the History of Labour and the Left. The thesis also went on to win the 2008/2009 Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) prize for best African doctoral thesis (see here).
